Hockey Clothing
The North American ice hockey market reflects this. The sport has also increased in popularity throughout the world partly due to the advent of synthetic ice.
Goalie pants are made of larger pelvic, thigh and hip pads to help protect. Goalie jocks, also referred to as jills, are characterized by less protection from groins and have more padding in the front of their cup.
Apparel
Hockey players are required to wear protective gear as the sport involves speed skating on hard surfaces. Players often collide, and sometimes even deliberately. Apart from ice skating sticks and ice skates the most common safety gear includes helmets (with an visor or a full face mask), shoulder pads and chest protector, elbow pads, mouth guard, gloves, heavily lined shorts (also called hockey pants or jock athletic protective, for males, and a jockstrap or a "jill" for females), a pelvic protector (known as a girdle for women), and thigh, the tailbone, hip, as well as shin pads. A neck protector can also be worn.
In recent years, technology has been used to reduce the weight of ice hockey gear and to make it more functional. For instance, many companies now use carbon composites for stick shafts and specialized foam is also available to make shoulder pads lighter without losing protection. Other enhancements include 3D scanning that can accurately model a player's body proportions to ensure that elbow, ankle and shin pads can be made to fit the particular player.
The hockey market is expected to expand over the next few years as more people become aware of the sport and as ice rinks made of synthetic materials are constructed all over the world which will allow players to play in areas that have no natural ice available. The number of female hockey players has also grown which is a good thing for the market.
Hats
A hat is an essential piece of hockey gear and can be worn on and off the skating rink. We offer a variety of caps that will please both males and females. We also have a selection of hats for kids that can be worn for games or practice by younger players and fans. Hats are an integral part hockey culture and can be seen throughout the league including the infamous Hat Trick tradition, where fans throw their hats on the field after a player scores three goals in an entire game.
We have all the NHL clothing you require to look professional both on and off the hockey.
Jerseys
Hockey jerseys are the uniforms that hockey players wear. They are usually made of thicker materials than jerseys worn in other sports, and they come with long sleeves. The jerseys are adorned with the team logo on front along with the last name of the player on the their back and the number from zero to 100. Some jerseys bear a "C", "A" or "A" to indicate the team captain, and alternate captains.
There are two kinds: authentic and replica. The authentic jerseys share the same design and are made from the same material. Replica jerseys are made from different (and typically less expensive) materials, and might not have the exact design as authentic jerseys.
The majority of NHL teams have 3 or 4 sets of jerseys worn during games. They also have some particular sets, for example heritage designs and charity events. Each jersey has an inside back loop of fabric known as a "fight strap" which must be secured to the pants of the player in order to keep the jersey from being pulled over their head during a game.
The Authentic Pro is a top-tier NHL jersey made from high-performance fabrics. It features multilayered tackle twill as well as 3D embroidery. It also has reinforced stitching. It comes in women's and men's styles. The Authentic Premier is a version of the Authentic Pro that is designed to imitate the look of jerseys worn by players on the court.
Shirts
The jerseys, or sweaters, of a team are their most well-known attire. They display the team's primary logo on the front, and often include a second logo on the shoulders. The number of the player's name is placed beneath the name of the player, which can range from 0 100. The team captains wear a capital "C" to the left of their jersey logo. Two other players designated as alternate captains wear an "A".
Most NHL teams have a third sweater--or alternate--that is worn on special occasions, like for the Winter Classic or Stadium Series. Additionally there are many teams who have a throwback or retro alternative to their home jerseys. These third sweaters allow teams to experiment with different designs and are often used as an element for the design of their primary sweaters.
The Vancouver Canucks have a beautiful sweater that blends modern and traditional design. The navy and black jerseys are bold and easy to identify on the ice. White stripes provide contrast. The Canucks have an attractive font on their numbers and names, which enhances the neat appearance of the jersey.
